Forensics in Our Community

President of Riverside Community CollegeIn the Information Age, the Friends of RCC Forensics group believes that communication skills are one of the most important tools we can provide for tomorrow’s leaders. By mastering communication skills, students will be better able to understand rapidly changing technology, and use that technology in an ethical and effective manner for the benefit of society.
By supporting a community-wide forensics program, we believe we can aid teachers in meeting state language arts and communication requirements, and encourage students to learn to communicate well by motivating them to participate in speech and leadership training competition.
A speech program of this scope has never been done before. Imagine a program that has the potential to touch every student in every school in our community; a program that provides motivation and opportunities students can build upon as they progress to high school diplomas, college degrees, and beyond; a program that teaches “real world” communication skills that can be used in any job or profession.
