The Friends of RCC Forensics’ Boards of Directors and Governors determine policy. The Friends implement policy through an organization including all governors and many volunteers from various fields who are interested in speech education opportunities in the communities served by the Riverside Community College District. The Friends of RCC Forensics Scholarship & Awards Task Force provides Speech, Drama and Debate Opportunities for All Students: K-12-College.

This Scholarship Task Force works through three Councils:

• Academic (Stallings, chair)

• Creative Events (d’Encarnacao, chair)

• Finance & Fundraising (O’Connor, chair)

These Councils usually work in small groups on the Friends’ projects. All projects have as their goal the encouragement, recognition and extension of further opportunities to students in their efforts to excel in speech communication and the extension of "The Listening Ears" to all students.
